The Grove Prompt: Sleep

We all long for it. Doesn’t matter where you live. Doesn’t matter how old you are. Doesn’t matter if you are a cheese eater or not.

Sleep.

Do I hear an amen?

Between travel, time changes, loud environments, sun that sets too late or rises too early, spiritual warfare, sick kids, hormone changes . . . interrupted sleep can mess with us like almost nothing else.

God does not want us to function exhausted. Last year during the Retreat (have you marked your calendars for this April?) we looked at Psalm 23 and learned that the grammatical tense is that we are constantly laying down in green pastures. We are continually being restored.

But sometimes it doesn’t feel that way, does it? And sleep plays a big part. This week we want to share our sleep stories, successes, and struggles.

Join us at The Grove beginning on Thursday at 6pm EST and tell us how you’ve been sleeping recently. And don’t forget to share a photo that captures your practices on Instagram using #VelvetAshesSleep.
