Last Week’s Theme: Top Tips
Feeding the Mind by Maria Mullet—”Those days of preparing for an overseas departure are nothing short of exhausting. There are so many things to consider, both in the home you’re leaving and the home you’ll be arriving in.”
A Life for a Life {Book Club} by Bayta Schwarz—”This slight tangent aside, the scene also captures so well the relationship between father and son. Would it be possible for two people to be more different from each other?”
Top 5 Weird Foods We Love + Blackberry Crisp by Ashley Felder—”This time, I want to highlight some foods that may be considered weird in my home culture, but that we have grown to love. My kids have spent their entire lives here, so they think most of these foods are completely normal, only to find out when they try to describe them to friends and family, they get all sorts of weird looks. Oh, the life of a TCK!”
Ten Real Ways to Invest in You and Your Family by Jenilee Goodwin—”These moments happen with the paperwork we try to file, the foods we can’t find, the heat we endure, the bugs we fight, the culture we don’t understand, the church services that go on forever and the language that continues to get the best of us.”

The theme is…

Your people.
The ones who bring you chocolate on the hard days, send you memes they know will make you smile, who aren’t afraid to get in your face when you aren’t on the right track.
Our people can look in our eyes through computer screens and know our hearts without a whole lot of explanation. They stand ready to show up in whatever way we need.
And we do the same for them.
Whether your people are your teammates, your supporters, your best friend from college, or your neighbors, this week we are celebrating them! Go out and tell your people what they mean to you. Send that text message or make that Zoom call. Those meaningful connections are priceless!
This week is also the launch of our Connection Group registration for the fall 2020 session! Registration opens at 6:00 PM Eastern on Tuesday, September 1st. Head over to our Connection Group page to check out all the groups offered this session!
