Have You Seen? {July 5, 2015}

Welcome to Have You Seen?  We’ll review last week and share other posts from around the web. Enjoy rest and renewal while you cozy up for some soul-food reading.

Last Week

Whew, that was needed! We hope you rested, played, and connected with God, yourself, and others. Would love to hear about it in the comments 🙂

From Around the Web

Ideas for packing your kids to be able to play on those long flights.

Do you love pandas? Silly question, who doesn’t! One of our own visited the Panda research center in Sichuan–you just might go “ah” as you look at these photos of pandas.

Another one of our own ran a race (you go girl!) and has insight for us in our races overseas.

This is a must read on the normal fallacy. How many times have you been asked “What’s different between your home and host culture?”

Thoughts after being “home” for one year.

Finally, what if God does not resolve our problems?

And Now for Next Week

The Theme is…

tips for your first year

It’s the time of year when many folks are getting ready to go to the field. As a community, we’d like to welcome them.

But more than just a friendly greeting, we’re going to come around them as a community with tips and stories. So, think back to your first year, what helped? What do you wish you’d known? What did someone share with you that set you up for one less bump? It’s good to look back, oh the memories? Yes? Others poured into you, now it your turn to share.

Join us at The Grove beginning Thursday 6pmEST.  Bring your link ups, your thoughts, and fun tips for the first year on the field.
