Last Week’s Theme: But What If We Didn’t
A Disrupted Life by Denise Beck—”As I drag my finger across the pages of my Bible, I see a Savior who left a path of disrupted lives in his wake and I realize something. I have been spending a lot of time, no matter what continent I am on, trying to create a disruption free zone around my life.”
A Cow Thinks Generously {Book Club} by Rachel Kahindi—”I began to think about how happiness is defined and experienced differently in different cultures.”
Looking for the Good by Beth Barthelemy—”I have found myself more grateful for the unexpected gifts of this year, and reluctant to return to what was normal.”
An Open Letter to My Planner by Maria Mullet—”It has been frustrating, discouraging, difficult, and confusing, this rise of the eraser, question mark, and blank page. It has unmasked the control freak within me, highlighted the way I grasp for the significance your full page can offer.”

And Now For Next Week
The theme is…

As things begin to open up, school is starting (in some form or fashion) in many parts of the world, and we ease back in to familiar patters of life, we reach for our planner or click on the calendar app on our phones. We mentally plan meals and errands and ministry activities, organizing our days to fit it all in.
Whether you live by the calendar or go with the flow, we all have twenty-four hours in a day, seven days a week to fill.
What do you do to set the rhythm for yourself and your family? What are ways you enjoy staying organized or managing your time?
Share your ideas and tips this week and come learn from each other! Perhaps you need to let go of expectations or live more freely and lightly as you go throughout your week. Or maybe you are struggling with organization and need a little sisterly advice! There’s space for you here. Join the conversations in the blog comments or on social media using the hashtag #VelvetAshesItsTime.
