Have You Seen? {September 27th, 2020}

Last Week’s Theme: Tending Your Mind

Decisions, Decisions, Decisions by Stephanie Prater-Clarke—”We knew we wanted our children to be engaged with their peers and we knew we wanted them to have the opportunity to participate in team sports. So, having explored all the options and asked all the questions, we used the one thing we were equipped with – prayer.”

A Cow, A Calf and Grief {Book Club} by Rachel Kahindi—”Sarala, who loves, respects, and venerates cows, ultimately had to give away a calf because it was male, which would be a financial liability for her. Despite how she felt about it, she could only keep cows in her dairy farm which actually produce milk. The decision came down to how much money the cow was worth.”

Minding Your Heart by Ruth Sparks—”As I reflect on this predicament, I can see that I oscillate between ugly pride when I can grasp some sense of intellectual strength, enjoying it because it makes me feel better, and despair in moments of feeling so inferior for not knowing, not having read, not remembering.”

Language Learning to the Rescue by M’Lynn Taylor—”It took me awhile to see it from a different perspective. What could be viewed as a big waste of time could instead be seen as a gift of learning the Lord gave me exactly when I needed it most.”

And Now For Next Week

The theme is…

Psalm 23:2-3 (NIV) He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he refreshes my soul.

Who else needs some green pastures and quiet waters? Yep, I see those hands.

We are women who pour out into the lives of others—our teammates, our children, our ministry partners, our neighbors. We must not neglect the careful tending of our own souls.

We have some amazing stories and words of wisdom coming on the blog this week! Hear from women who are walking the same paths you are as they share honestly about what it looks like to care for their souls.
