The Grove Word Prompt: Routines

Do you make your bed every morning?

In Book Club this month we are reading Liturgy of the Ordinary by Tish Harrison Warren (come join in on the discussion, you are always welcome!). She says, “We are shaped every day, whether we know it or not, by practices—rituals and liturgies that make us who we are. We receive these practices—which are often rote—not only from the church or the Scriptures but from the culture, from the ‘air around us’.”

What is shaping you?

How does the culture you call home influence your daily, weekly, annual routines? As we build on last week’s theme talking about our daily lives, let’s expand the conversation farther to think and talk about our routines. We would love to have you open up your hearts and lives once again to let us in on what those routines look like! Share your pictures on Instagram using the hashtag #VelvetAshesRoutines, and come join us at The Grove.
