The Grove Word Prompt: Travel

travel

If we gathered all of your travel tales, stories from airports and train stations and tuk-tuks around the world, they would be enough to fill an entire library of volumes. You have confidently mastered security lines and subway schedules, but still have to deal with canceled flights and changed plans, all of the unexpected sides of travel that cause headaches in the moment but adventurous stories later on.

Travel is part of our lives for those of us to have lived across the globe, crossed borders or even just work across the city. It is necessary and frustrating at times, but also a gift.

How has the Father worked in your heart as you have traveled? What cool stories of provision has He woven into the thread of your movement from one place to another? Do you have stories of traveling moments gone terribly awry that caused tears at the time but you can laugh about now?

These are the stories we want to hear this week! Our posts will feature some terrific tales and life lessons, as well as important tips to help your traveling days go more smoothly. Share your own stories and tips on Instagram this week with the hashtag #VelvetAshesTravel, or stop in and add your thoughts in the comments on our posts. You can link up your own blog posts at the end of the week on our final post as well!

Just a reminder that we are following a slower rhythm in July and August, featuring one less post each week. We hope you will fill this extra space with rest, refreshment and all that is life-giving to you!
