I am a high school in a rural mountain in western Honduras. The nearest paved road is 2 1/2 hours away by bus, even though it is only 22 miles. That bus ride is like some sort of ride at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, except no seat belts or cool snacks.
My classroom is a beautifiul chaotic mess where everyone is allowed to make mistakes and the teacher is always drinking coffee.
