One of the greatest gifts we can offer one another is prayer. Each week, women in the Velvet Ashes community share their joys, burdens, and specific prayer requests through our social media, and our team faithfully prays for them. We’d love to invite you to join us.
Our Velvet Ashes Prayer Circle is a quiet, one-way WhatsApp community where you’ll receive a weekly message containing that week’s prayer requests. There are no comment threads or conversations—just a simple reminder to pause and pray. (You can react to the message with an emoji if you’d like, but the group remains free from chatter.)
We ask everyone who joins to treat these requests with care and confidentiality, honoring the trust of the women who have shared them.

Prayer requests are typically shared once each week. Occasionally, we may send an additional message if there’s an urgent need or a special opportunity to pray together.
No. To honor the privacy and safety of the women who entrust us with their requests, the Prayer Circle is one-way. We ask that you pray faithfully for them without attempting to contact them directly.
Whenever women share updates with us, we’ll include them in a future weekly prayer message. We love celebrating answered prayers and continuing to pray for ongoing needs.
Yes. We ask everyone who joins the Prayer Circle to treat every prayer request with care and confidentiality. Please do not share requests outside the Prayer Circle unless the individual has given explicit permission.
No. There isn’t a required schedule or commitment beyond faithfully praying as you’re able. Our hope is simply to gather a community of women who will regularly lift up those serving cross-culturally.
Absolutely. You are free to leave the WhatsApp community at any time if your season changes or you’re no longer able to participate.
Anyone who has a heart for praying for women serving cross-culturally is welcome to join. Whether you’ve lived overseas yourself or simply want to support those who have, we’d love to have you pray with us.
The Prayer Circle is designed specifically for receiving and praying for requests that have been shared through Velvet Ashes. If you’re part of the Velvet Ashes community and would like to submit a prayer request, you can continue to do so through our regular prayer request form or social media channels.
