I am raising money for an organization I wish I knew existed when this picture was taken. I was standing on the airstrip behind our home. The soft smile on my face may hide the fact that this was one of the hardest seasons we had experienced in our 5 years in rural Africa. Josh and I were on a walk and we felt so alone in some hard things we were dealing with. I would have felt so seen if I knew there was a way to connect with other women who may have been going through the same things we were. Others to ask advice of who truly understood our unique situation as global workers raising kids in Sub-Saharan Africa.
But today I know this place exists and as Executive Director of Velvet Ashes, I get to work to make sure other women have access to this community and all the resources it provides.
I would be honored if you would join me in helping to fund this ministry for another year.
Thank you friends!
