My husband, two daughters (ages 7 & 10) and I are serving with Mercy Ships. We live on a surgery ship called the Africa Mercy. The ship does surgeries for the people of West Africa. The main surgeries are women’s health and maxifacial. Currently, we are in Dakar, Senegal. My husband is the principal at the International School on the ship and I am a teacher. The school is for all of the volunteers who have families living on the ship.

My name is Kayla and I am a worker who is in the process of being re-fielded. I am currently working for my sending agency out of Minnesota and awaiting the Lord’s next steps for me. Before COVID I was working in South Asia, I was there for 8 months and then had to be evacuated because of COVID. Since then I have done ministry in post-George Floyd Minneapolis and having been awaiting my next steps/
