You know how horrible dengue fever is?
You have ached with loneliness, homesickness and anxiety, even while knowing you are where you are meant to be?
Oh yes. Friendship is like a cool mango smoothie in hot season, or a warm cup of tea on a blustery day. Friends are a lifeline, a balm, a precious gift in every season and every location.
This week we are celebrating our friends! That includes all of you, our sisters who are pulled together from all around the world by this community right here at Velvet Ashes. That’s the friend who patiently allowed you to practice language and championed you along the journey as you settled into a new home. It’s the friends who sent emails from the other side of the ocean every week without fail, and the friends who gave you some of their precious pumpkin pie filling for your favorite holiday.
