Sitting to write this, I became curious about the root of “prepare.” In my hunting, for an answer, I was moved by the definition:
: to make ready beforehand for some purpose, use, or activity
: to put in a proper state of mind
: to work out the details of
As we come to the end of one year and prepare to turn the corner into a new year, which part of prepare stirs in your heart? Do you sense that God is getting you ready for something? Is the preparation more in your mind? Is God preparing you to work out the details of a new stage of life, calling, location, or project?
