God can bring freshness at any time of the year, but there is something about turning the page in a calendar and having to train our brains to now write “2018” that signals freshness.
A new year.
A new beginning.
Fresh.
Whether you have been on the field for decades, years, months, weeks, or are gearing up to go, you might need a fresh start, a fresh perspective, a fresh dose of patience or hope.
Whatever it is that you need, God can provide.
In the past many of us have shared our “one word” for the year. In the comments, what is your word for 2018? Share it as an act of faith that God will breath freshness into your life and ministry.
Join us in the comments all week and link your own blog post at The Grove. Share on Instagram with #VelvetAshesFresh and let us see what’s fresh in your world (or where you need freshness).

My word for this year is Greek, which is a first for me. It’s “Soteria,” which means “salvation, deliverance.” It’s the noun form of sozo, which you may have heard of. Last year’s word was Believe. Full explanation below. ?
