“The way of abundance is always first the dying and then the rising. Be not afraid of practicing your faith everywhere- your God is practicing resurrection everywhere.” Ann Voskamp
Just as the first flowers poke their shoots out of thawing soil, and vibrant green rice seedlings burst forth in brown dirt and water, so our God brings life from death. Hope was not lost when the tomb was sealed shut, and death did not win. We celebrate our resurrected King who rendered death defeated and speaks life into our broken places, growing joy in the fields sown in sorrow where dreams were buried.
What is God resurrecting in you and around you? Where do you see signs of spring (if that seasons exists where you live) or new life? Snap a picture and share it with us on Instagram this week using the hashtag #VelvetAshesResurrection. Make sure to gather around at The Grove as we look ahead to Easter with hope and expectation this week.
