This week’s prompt: Warning

Well now, how’s that for a warm and cuddly theme?

It comes out of our book club chapters this week in  Emotionally Healthy Spirituality by Peter Scazzero (Chapters 2 and 3). In it the author says, “We are not called by God to die to the ‘good’ parts of being who we are. God never asked us to die to the healthy desires and pleasures of life — to friendships, joy, art, music, beauty, recreation, laughter, and nature. God plants desires in our hearts so we will nurture and water them. Often these desires and passions are invitations from God, gifts from him. Yet somehow we feel guilty unwrapping those presents.”

This is why we want to talk about warnings this week. There are warnings we should listen to! However,   some warnings are not from God and actually rob us of the life giving aspects of our relationships with God, others, and ourselves.

As always, we want to hear your heart, so start writing about “warning” and then bring your link ups to The Grove.
