This Week’s Theme: Brave

What a celebration last week was!  Our team has been so energized as we read all the Velvet Ashes love that poured in for our 1st birthday.  Such a testimony to the movement of the Spirit in this place.

Did you read all the link-ups at The Grove?  If so, then you’ll remember that Kayla had the awful experience of a home invasion and robbery last week.  Two things about this that I want to share here with all of you.

First, Kayla is taking part of one of our Connection Groups.  She’s shared how much she’s enjoyed and bonded with the ladies in her group.  Well, after her home invasion, she turned to her Connection Group for support.  Guess who her Group Mentor is?  Laura.  The same Laura who has shared here about her own experience with a home invasion.  The same Laura who has been blogging for weeks about her healing journey.

I get misty-eyed thinking about a tender Father who connected these two ladies living on opposite side of the globe, that they could be there for each other for such a time as this.

And THEN, guess who the randomly selected winner of our beautiful canvas giveaway is?!

Kayla.

Call it chance or call it an ordained gift for someone who needed an extra reminder of His presence.

Think of Kayla this week?  Ask for peace in her heart and home?

Friends, this life we live calls for big doses of BRAVE.  It takes bravery to leave all you know, to board a plane for a foreign place.  It takes bravery to stick it out, to learn a new life.  It takes bravery to do the smallest tasks in a strange tongue.  It takes bravery to follow the daily nudges of the Spirit.  And it takes bravery to know when it’s time to return.

And I don’t know about you, but sometimes my bravery runs out.  Sometimes I need to stop and remember what bravery is all about and where it comes from.  That’s what this week is about.  Join us for this week’s daily posts and then we’ll all meet up and share our “Brave” stories at The Grove beginning Thursday 6pm EST.

Wow! Thanks fot sharing that. Lifting up Kayla and amazed at the way God is working to encourage her! I’m encouraged by this as well.

This is so very timely for me! I’m on home assignment before until March and next week I have the opportunity to share my story in front of a few hundred people. My closest friends tell me I’m brave and courageous but I definitely don’t feel like it! But I’m encouraged that bravery is the theme this week.
