“Forgiveness is not an occasional act, it is a constant attitude.”
― Martin Luther King Jr.
Immediately following the Lord’s Prayer in Matthew 6, Jesus teaches us about forgiveness. Matthew 6:14-15 says, “For if you forgive others their offenses, your Heavenly Father will forgive you as well. But if you don’t forgive others, your Father will not forgive your offenses” (CSB).
Forgiveness is baffling. It can be freeing but also one of the most difficult struggles of our lives. Yet we know it is so important to God and to the relationships with people around us, and even in the way we understand ourselves.
What has God shown you lately about forgiveness? What encouragement would you share with women in the community who are walking the tender journey of forgiveness?
