Wouldn’t it be nice if we could hit the pause button on global events in 2020 and have space to process?
Our hearts break with those affected by the pandemic that don’t make the headlines. We weep over injustice, over brokenness, and wonder how to add our voice to stand up for the oppressed.
These are hard and heavy things, and as situations change rapidly, we can move from one thing to the next in survival mode.
This week, we want to create a space in the midst of everything to share and process together. Processing doesn’t mean that we have everything figured out. It doesn’t mean we have to tie a bow neatly at the end. Processing can be messy and grace-filled as we allow ourselves to look at how we are doing, the questions we are asking, the conversations we are having or need to have.
May the posts this week and the conversations we have create even brief moments of pause in your heart as we process together.
Share your in-process thoughts on social media this week with the hashtag #VelvetAshesProcessing. Make sure you tag us so we can join you in the conversation!
