Christ follower, wife, mother, homeschooler, nurse, explorer, lover of littles, coffee drinker, reader – just a few of the ways that I describe myself. I am married to an amazing guy who gently leads our family toward God’s will. He keeps me focused when life gets crazy. We have three teenage daughters who are learning how to follow hard after God. Together, we all serve in the beautiful country of South Africa where love and hate and black and white and coloured and poverty and wealth collide to create a wonderful mess.

I am a mother of five (three teens, one tween and one almost there and wanting to get there fast!). My husband and I work with women in prostitution through a local church and NGO. Been here for almost four years and loving it still.

I grew up in the US, but married a German MK, who grew up in the country we are currently living in. I am learning to mother a teenage son, a pre-teen daughter with mental and physical disabilities, and another pre-teen daughter who we adopted from China with her many questions. I call our family the “Fusion Family” as I feel God fused us together with race, culture, and disabilities.
