We asked to hear your “voice” last week and we did! If you haven’t had a chance to read or share, it’s not too late! You won’t be disappointed.
This week we’re exploring “Status” and I think the posts during the week will get your juices flowing on this subject. I look forward to your thoughts on Friday when we gather at The Grove.
See you at The Grove beginning Thursday 4pm EST.

Danielle,
Thank you for sharing in the grove. I truly understand what it’s like to work with so many diverse people in an overseas ministry. I’ve had the chance to serve in China for two years and then in Laos for a year. I learned a very valuable lesson while I was in Laos. I was learning to live life among some young 20 somethings while I in my 50’s. It was quite hard to relate and I felt left out a lot in conversations because I didn’t even understand what they were talking about. There were times when I felt like I was too old and what was I doing here. I have learned since my time back in the states, that each person is valuable no matter how old or young they are. I have learned to appreciate each person for who they are and what they can contribute. What a lesson in humility.
Yes, it’s such a shame how much of life is spent first feeling too young and then too old! If we could all, as you said, live secure in our value and treat others with their value.
Our conversation on “Status” is going on here: https://velvetashes.com/the-grove-status/. We’d love to have you share your thoughts there so others can hear. So glad you joined us!
