The Grove Word Prompt: Pure

Don’t we all wish for a pure heart?

Especially on those days, and we all know the ones, when the sun is blazing or the rain shows no sign of letting up, and the nosy neighbor just can’t leave well enough alone. Or the teammate who is so different from us makes a comment that cuts deep. Kids and ants and broken washing machines (if we have them), all call for our attention.

On those days, who is Jesus to us? Even in the fiery trials or the moments of tender discipline, He sweetly cups our face in His hands and covers us with His righteousness, this precious gift to us.

Do you have stories of God’s purifying in your life and the joy that comes out of pain?

Let’s be brave together to share our experiences in the comments and at The Grove. What sparks your creativity as you look around you and think about purity? Snap a picture and share with us on Instagram this week, with #VelvetAshesPure.
