The Mystery Box and Resurfaced Wisdom
A little over two years ago as we prepared to move back to Texas, we were packing and purging stuff from a decade’s worth of our life in China....
M’Lynn likes to put things in boxes. That’s why she studied accounting in college, and all of her wedding presents received in 2004 are sitting in boxes in a storage container in Texas. The one thing she refuses to put in a box is God. Currently in her 9th year of living in China, she sometimes wakes up in the morning wondering why she’s still in Asia. She’s married to an introverted, pessimistic realist who keeps her extroverted, optimistic feet on the ground in a good way. Her three energetic, creative children refuse to keep their toys in their assigned boxes while emptying boxes of shelf milk faster than the local grocery store can stock them.

I’m tired of being that girl still talking about transition, but it’s all I can think about when I think of the word “change.” So much has changed for me...
The only way to reorient is to admit I'm disoriented. Transition is exhausting, and I've lost count of the number of transitions we've endured this past year. I'm tired, my...
