These are the things that we are often too afraid to speak out loud. We don’t know what to do with them or if it is safe to talk about them.
Spiritual abuse. Witnessed trauma. Pornography use. Disenfranchised grief. Just the hard parts of cross-cultural life. The list goes on.
The questions swirl. Am I worth it? Is it time to leave the field? Why did this happen? How long do I have to suffer? How would my life be different if I hadn’t chosen this cross-cultural journey?
What do you do with the complicated questions? How do we help organizations become better equipped to address and deal with hard things?
What feels complicated about cross-cultural life right now?
