This Month’s Theme: Imposter

You heard him. You said yes. And now you’re here, in a place that isn’t your own, doing work that often feels bigger than you.

Once we’ve heard God’s voice, where do we go with what he’s said? What happens when obedience feels larger than our capacity?

For many cross-cultural workers, calling outpaces confidence. We lead while feeling unsure. We speak truth while wrestling doubt. We represent the gospel while quietly wondering if we’re falling short ourselves.

The imposter voice can be relentless:

You’re not spiritual enough.
If they really knew you . . .
Someone else could do this better.

Self-doubt can quickly harden into shame. We fear being exposed as hypocrites, unqualified, or not enough.

But the imposter voice is not the Shepherd’s voice.

This theme invites us to name the gap between calling and confidence without hiding. To return again and again to our secure attachment in God. To remember that our calling rests not on our competence, but on his presence.

You are not an imposter in your calling. You are a daughter learning to walk in it.
