Sabbath is a sacred invitation—a pause from our work and our striving. It’s a rhythm God wove into creation, a space to trust him, to cease, and to delight in his goodness. As he flung the stars into the sky and then paused to rest, so we, too, are invited to work and rest, to labor and to reflect, to cease and to savor.

We’ve built this pause into our community rhythm for years now, and we look forward to it as a time of quiet, reflection, and replenishment. For this whole week, Velvet Ashes will intentionally go quiet—no blog posts, no social media, no community activities. Even the comments will rest.

What restores your soul?
What helps you delight in God’s good gifts?

Instead of filling this space with other tasks or noise, we invite you to step intentionally into Sabbath—to reflect, to rest, to play, to simply be—trusting that in the quiet, God meets us with refreshment and joy.
